Beechtree Care Center, a 120 bed skilled nursing residence that is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation, opened its doors in 1920, first as a rehabilitation residence for children afflicted with polio, and then, from the early 1950s onward, as a home for the disabled and frail elderly who need skilled nursing care. As the only stand-alone nursing home in our area that accepts Medicaid, Beechtree has, through the years, provided care to the disabled and frail elderly in Tompkins and surrounding counties, regardless of ability to pay.
Beechtree is proud of it's home-like atmosphere and person-centered care. Our mission is to make sure that every resident who calls Beechtree home has the best quality of life possible.
We believe a nursing home should be a home where people live life to the fullest every day. This is our focus. If you would like more information about Beechtree Care Center please contact Ellie Hall Minnis, who can help you plan an admission.
