Welcome to the Get Connected Volunteer Center
hosted by United Way of Tompkins County

The 2015 United Way Days of Action were Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th.

This year Depend and United Way of Tompkins County joined forces to promote healthy, active, and independent living throughout an individual's life, with a focus on volunteering.

Over 65 volunteers, including teams from Cornell University; the University Counsel's Office, Community Relations, and the Human Resources Information Systems, International Food Network, HOLT Architects, Tompkins Connect, and the Ithaca High School Student Council Community Outreach, supported five area non-profits with a variety of tasks.

The United Way Day of Action is an opportunity for tens of thousands of individuals and groups around the world to LIVE UNITED and take action to improve the three building blocks of life in their community - education, income and health.

Thank you to the volunteers, their employers who gave them the time off, the project leaders at the sites and Depend for making the Day of Action a success!
